Aging Ministry Training Available

Wendy Minton Edwards, NC Baptist Aging Ministry (NCBAM) Eastern Regional Director, is available to present important information about aging ministry to interested church groups.  The training includes biblical foundations for aging ministry, aging demographics, aging focused sensitivity experiences, and an introduction to the NCBAM strategy for aging ministry and how individuals/groups/churches can become involved.  About one hour to one and one half hours are needed for this session that is appropriate for senior groups, missions groups, multi-generational groups, as well as for all who know and love aging adults.

At this training, Eddie Thompson, senior consultant for marriage and family ministry, will attempt to answer the following critical questions:

  • What will an effective ministry to older seniors look like in the years ahead?
  • Will a younger generation of seniors present a greater challenge for leaders?
  • How do you begin equipping senior adults to mentor and encourage a younger generation?

Large Projection Screen Available

Voice of Faith Network moved from their former facility and has a large projection screen which is like brand new.  It also comes with a remote control.  The screen can handle High Density.

They are offering this $3000 screen to any church that might use it for $1000.  The screen is 12 feet wide and extends to about 9-10 feet in height.  For more information or if interested, please call Jim Layton at 919.624-7436.


Purpose Driven Life Books Needed

Central Prison Chaplains are using the "Purpose Driven Life" books by Rick Warren for devotions with the inmates. They only have a few copies and are needing additional books.  If your church has extra copies of the book and are willing to donate them to the prison, please contact Cindy by e-mail or call 919.231.3995, ext 102.

Organ and Pews

Hephzibah Baptist Church, Wendell has 23 pews that would like to find a new church home. They are 17’ long, 33” high and 22” wide. 

The church also has a Rodgers 2-manual analog Organ circa 1974 w/ 4 external speakers to give away. The volume pedal is unreliable.
