Aging Adults Innovating Ministry (AAIM) Roundup

Early Bird workshops begin at 9:00 am
Aging Adult Ministry for the Small Church & Gearing Up Ministry for Baby Boomers 
(Early Bird attendees will check-in during their workshop.)
Regular check-in begins at 9:30 and the day's program begins at 10:00 a.m.
Attendees will focus on dynamic aging; will learn how to identify and assess the needs of the aging in churches and communities and determine paths of ministry; and will participate in a conversation on generations' ministry and evangelism.
A Parade of Churches will highlight successful aging adult ministries and community partners will be on hand. Special music and additional guests will round out the Roundup!

Snacks and boxed lunches are provided.

Please register by April 28. 

Cost - $10 and will be received at check-in the day of the event.

Through regional and annual events, the group provides cutting-edge resources to strengthen and equip aging adult ministries; promotes impactful Kingdom ministry among aging adults; and empowers lives with biblical perspectives on aging.

The network is an initiative of NCBAM.

Caswell Senior Summerfest

"The Tie That Binds"

      May 23-27 & August 15-19      



Senior adults - enjoy morning class options, large group gatherings and relaxing fellowship time.  There will be engaging speakers, entertainment, music performances and an a riverboat cruise on the Cape Fear.  Join us as we celebrate the tie that binds all of our hearts and souls together - Jesus Christ.

Dr. Michael Cogdill will be the speaker May 23-27.
Dr. David Hailey will be the speaker August 15-19.
Dr. Benji Harlan, Larry Keesler and Matt Fore will be there both weeks.

New Church Start Needs
We have a multicultural, bilingual church starting in 2016.  They are in need of the following items:
  • Full Sound System - Mixer, Power, Microphones, Cables for microphones speakers and monitors and speakers
  • A Laptop
They also need a 15 Passenger Van for the church.

Donated Items

Free Preschool and Children Curriculum 

A variety of preschool, ages 2-5, and children, grades 1 -5, quarterly curriculum units from Group Publishing are available at the RBA office.  There are units with Old Testament and New Testament themes such as Jesus’ Birth and Ministry; the Early Church; Creation; Moses and others.

Vacation Bible School basic kits available include:
God’s Big Back Yard 
Son Country 
Take the Plunge

These are available free on a first come, first serve basis.  If you are interested, call 919.231.3995 or come by the RBA Resource Center to see what is available.

Pulpit Furniture

Temple Baptist Church, Raleigh has an oak pulpit, communion table and some oak pews if a church can use them.  Contact Deborah at or call the church office at 919.834.5584.

Bibles & Hymnals

We have 112 pew Bibles (RSV w/ burgundy cover) and 9 Baptist Hymnals (1991 edition) and pew Bibles (also burgundy cover) available to any church that could use them. They have "Hayes Barton Baptist Church" engraved on them.  Contact the Raleigh Baptist Association at 919.231.3995, if you are interested. 

Round Tables

Providence Baptist Church in Raleigh has 9 - 5' round tables they would like to give to a church that could use them.  Some of the tables are in need of repair, but with a little attention, they will be very useful.  The tops are heavy duty (laminate/countertop type surface).  If you are interested, please contact Jim Doherty at 919.326.3000.

An upright Kimball piano (and bench seat) is available for donation to a church in need of it. It is about 20 years old, and in very good condition.  The piano is located in the Wake Forest area and would need to be picked up at the donor's residence.  If interested, please call 919.592.1683 or email
