Pastor of Children and Families - FBC Kings Mountain

First Baptist Church of Kings Mountain is a vibrant, conservative SBC church with a growing ministry to children and families that is seeking a man called by God to pastor our children and their families in the spiritual and physical care of the church. This man should possess a clear calling to vocational ministry in the area of children, with a passion for sharing the gospel with children and their families and possess a master’s degree in ministry or be nearing the completion of one. We desire that he be ordained or be seeking ordination. With the support of his wife, the children’s pastor will invest his family’s future in our church and our community for years to come.
 
Due to the growth and potential of this ministry, candidates need to possess three years of experience serving on a church staff in children’s or family ministry that includes leading families and discipleship at the family level. Preference will be given to those applicants who possess experience with administration, evangelism, teaching, leadership, and pastoral care, as well as those who demonstrate a proven ability to  recruit, train, and lead volunteers and ministry teams.

As FBCKM continues to reach all those God is leading to our church, the Children’s Pastor must be committed to fostering an inclusive ministry that supports children with special needs and their families, while demonstrating an understanding of child safety standards and best practices, including volunteer screening, emergency procedures, and check-in/check-out systems.
 
Above all, this position will be expected to demonstrate a consistent lifestyle that models Christian integrity, humility, and servant leadership; therefore, any candidate will be subject to criminal, financial, and sexual misconduct background checks before being called.

Pay range commensurate with education and experience. The total compensation  package includes salary, anniversary and Christmas bonuses, housing allowance, employer-paid health insurance, employer-paid disability and life insurance, retirement plan matching contributions, vacation, and some funding for professional conferences/education.
