Bus Drivers

Baptists on Mission is recruiting and training drivers for our mobile Dental and Health Screening Ministry. We would like for the drivers to be within an hour or so drive from the Baptist Building in Cary where these mobile units are located. There is a small honorarium that is provided but there is great reward in serving others in needs and serving them in Jesus’ name.

*Requirements for Drivers for Dental/Health Screening units*

• A Christian with a servant heart who is in good general health and has a good driving record.
• A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is required for the Dental Truck. For Health Screening, this is a preference, not a requirement.
• Training is provided so that the driver should have a general knowledge of the frame, chassis, motor, and accessories as well as a general knowledge of equipment on the units, such as the generator, leveling system, electrical connections, air conditioning, heat, and fuel.
• Training is provided so that driver has a general knowledge of the forms used and the importance of completing these forms as well as knowledge of the location of supplies, and setup for use. Driver should become familiar with the procedural manual and follow its instructions on each trip.
• BOM will provide training and driver should complete at least two (2) trips with an experienced driver to get on the job training in the handling of the unit and use of the equipment.
