Senior Pastor - Flat Springs Baptist Church

Flat Springs Baptist Church in Sanford, North Carolina is seeking the full-time senior pastor that the Lord has prepared to lead our congregation. We are seeking an ordained minister with an advanced degree and experience.  Founded in 1905 and operating under the Baptist Faith and Message, 1963, the church is located in a rural and growing community located between Raleigh and Southern Pines.  Flat Springs seeks to effectively carry out the Great Commission under the leadership of an experienced minister demonstrating the following qualities.

• Has a strong commitment to teaching and preaching the Bible and is rock solid on the gospel and biblical truths
• Presents the gospel as a servant with the love of Christ both inside the walls of the church and in the neighborhood through visits to hospitals, nursing homes and with the homebound
• Has a strong prayer life and helps others develop their personal spiritual life
• Serves the local community and is a compassionate, caring person, sensitive to other’s needs and engaged with the challenges of this world through the support of  outreach missions
• Is a shepherd of the congregation, setting an example for others and building a sense of fellowship among the people of the church
• Maintains strong moral character, maintains confidentiality, and seeks to resolve conflict effectively
• Embraces the role as spiritual leader of the church and the associated responsibilities
