Worship Leader - Part Time

Turner Memorial Baptist Church, Garner NC is seeking a musically gifted, professing/committed Christian to serve as part-time Worship Leader. The part time Worship Leader is responsible for directing, developing, and promoting the music program at Turner Memorial Baptist Church. In doing so, the selected leader is to support the mission statement, church objectives and core values of Turner Memorial Baptist Church.

Responsibilities:

• Working with the Pastor and other staff members to plan, schedule, prepare and implement worship music for Sunday morning services as well as special events.
• Be capable of leading multiple styles of worship with the praise team members. 
• Responsible for choosing scripture and songs that engage the congregation and support the preaching of God's Word. 
• Will also seek out congregants who are passionate about worship by recruiting and training musicians, singers, and technical volunteers. 
• Oversees, manages, and maintains musical, audio, and visual equipment in conjunction with Sound Room volunteers. 

Job Qualifications: 

• Having a committed heart to serve Jesus publicly and has accepted Jesus as personal Lord and Savior. 
• Being musically gifted in singing, guitar, piano, keyboard or any combination is required. 
• Responsible for maintaining correct licensing (CCLI, video licensing, etc.) 
• Attend staff meetings. 
• Requires passing criminal, drug, credit, and sexual misconduct background checks.
